A general home inspection is a comprehensive check of a property's major systems—including the roof, structure, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC—to identify issues before you buy.
A general home inspection provides a thorough overview, but it is not exhaustive. For specific concerns, such as potential mold or pests, you may require specialized inspections.
A general home inspection typically takes 2–3 hours for a 2,000 sq ft home, but may take longer based on the property’s condition, size, and any added services.
Sellers aren’t required to get a pre-listing inspection, but it’s highly recommended—especially for older homes. It helps identify issues early and can prevent surprises during the buyer’s inspection.
Our inspectors are fully licensed in Ohio and trained to meet the industry’s highest standards, with ongoing education to stay sharp. View individual qualifications on our meet the team page.
Although our inspectors are thorough and experienced, it is important to note that a home inspection provides a snapshot of the home’s condition at the time of inspection. We do not provide warranties or guarantees, but we stand by the quality of our work.
While not required, we highly recommend attending your inspection—it’s a great chance to get a detailed walkthrough, ask questions, and spend time in the home before closing.
